The Impact of Governance on the Financial Performance of Companies Listed in Amman and Palestine Stock Exchanges for the Period 2013-2019

This research aimed to examine the impact of governance on financial performance companies listed in Amman and Palestine stock exchanges, by measuring with several indicators: gender diversity board members, size directors, duality position CEO, independence academic qualifications members. As for performance, it is measured using return assets equity. A sample (52) industrial (21) banks distributed between two exchanges was studied period (2013-2019). The study concluded that there an insignificant positive effect diversity, a significant adverse CEO’s job, directors important practical experience members assets. Gender board, members’ have effect, presence CEO Based results, recommends continuous review codes directing pay attention corporate-governance practices through laws legislations push towards commitment practices. Also, their experience, should be carried out. It also recommended shed light corporate its importance holding seminars workshops attended managers decision-makers companies.
